Privacy policy

Sabi exists to teach children, and children deserve the strongest privacy protection we can build. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you keep — in plain language, because a policy you can't understand isn't really consent.

The short version

• We collect the minimum needed to tutor your child well.
• Nothing about a child is collected without a guardian's informed consent.
• We never sell personal data or use it for advertising.
• You can see, export or delete your family's data at any time.
• Our handling is aligned with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

What we collect

From guardians: your name, contact details and the consent choices you make for each learner in your household.

From learners: study activity — questions asked, topics studied, practice results and progress. This is what makes tutoring personal. We do not ask children for contact details; learners sign in through their household, never with their own credentials.

Photos: when a learner snaps a question, the image is used to answer that question. Camera access is used only when the learner chooses to take a photo.

What we use it for

• Tutoring: building the study plan and personalising explanations.
• Guardian insight: the weekly progress picture you receive.
• Safety: confidence scoring, human review and abuse prevention.
• Service quality: fixing problems and improving Sabi.

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or build advertising profiles of children. Ever.

Consent, and changing your mind

Every learner's data collection is governed by the consent their guardian granted — per child, in plain language, at setup. You can change or withdraw consent at any time from your guardian account, and the change takes effect immediately. Withdrawing consent stops the related collection; it doesn't punish the learner.

Retention and deletion

We keep data only while it serves your family's learning. You can request a copy of your household's data, or its deletion, at any time by emailing sabi@avt-labs.com from your guardian email. Deletion requests are honoured and confirmed.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access inside our team is role-restricted and audited, and every AI answer keeps a record of how it was produced and checked.
